It was not failure for Andrea in Doha

Tennis is sometimes very cruel and Andrea Hlavackova found out in Doha. In the first round of the Qatar Total Open Russian Nadia Petrova defeated Andrea at first glance smoothly 6:2, 6:3, but the match was much more balanced than the final score says.

In the critical moments the eleventh seeded favourite had a support in a quality services and sometimes during an important rallies she was lucky. "I played quite a good match if I take changes between inside and outside playing in one day into consideration. Nadia is so experienced and good player that she can help herself by good services. For me it´s important that I played well and also kept my mind composure,” Andrea Hlavackova said.

At the end of the first set she asked for a doctor, but it was not anything serious. “Sometimes when I change a climate I have problems with low blood pressure. I don´t want to make excuses. I had to keep my lead 3:1 in the second set. Pity,” Andrea said. She will play doubles with Lucie Safarova against pair Olga Govortsova and Andreja Klepac. “I´m sure I´ll feel already better after the hard trip,” she declared.
