Another match without happy ending

Andrea Hlavackova was over among the last sixteen players in the tournament in Memphis. Heather Watson (GBR) managed better a suspenseful ending and after sets 2:6, 6:0 and 6:3 she got into the quarterfinals.

Two players, who fought long matches in the first round, stood facing each other. Andrea began as great as against Oudin, led 4:0 and then easily got a victory. But in the second set the 4th seeded twenty-year old British was clearly better and did not allow to opponent even game.

The dramatic third set decided. The opponent´s service broke Watson in score 3:2 and although Andrea fought really hard to return to the match it was not enough even two breakballs in score 3:5. On the other hand after 115 minutes Watson took third match point of the match.

“It was very hard match. Me and my coach, we are satisfied with my performance, what is good for the next part of the season. In the first set I managed everything great but in the second set my opponents managed everything and last set was very close,” Andrea Hlavackova said.

Before the tournament in Indiana Wells Andrea has a one week long pause. “I´ll move to my second home in Florida and we will prepare for another part of the season. We really want to improve my condition for which I almost didn´t have a time since the beginning of the year,” Andrea added.
