Against Puig in Charleston

Family Circle Cup in Charleston is the last Andrea´s stop in U.S. tour. Monica Puig from Puerto Rico will be her opponent in the first round of tournament on clay. Andrea travelled from Osprey to South Carolina by a car and it took eight hours. “I´ve played with Puig just once and lost so now it´s my turn to win. Season on clay begins in Charleston. I feel good so please keep your fingers crossed,” Andrea asked fans with positive mood for a support.

Nineteen years old Puig is 102nd in WTA ranking and besides the tournament in Brisbane at the beginning of the year, where she finished in round of 16, she doesn´t play very well this year. She played against Andrea Hlavackova in the finals of ITF tournament on clay in Chiasso in Switzerland and won 7:6, 7:5. “I haven´t seen her a lot recently, so hard to predict what is waiting for me,” Andrea added.

Andrea will also play doubles in Charleston although her usual partner Lucie Hradecka already flew to Europe to cure health problems. “Hurriedly I arrange it again with Liezel Huber, who has also injured permanent partner. I hope that we will play again very well like in our premiere in Paris, where we got into the finals,” Andrea said. Their opponents will be Daniela Hantuchova (SVK) and Anabel Medina Garrigues (ESP).
