H+H achieved semifinals by hard work!

It was really hard match! Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka were close to elimination in quarterfinals in Roland Garros, but they managed to win with hard work against pair Cara Black (ZIM) and Marina Erakovic (NZL) 2:6, 7:6, 6:4.

This duel took 137 minutes and it seemed badly for Czech pair. The opponents won easily first set but in the second set H + H managed 5:2 lead. Then the second seeded pair lost for games in a row and had to fight very hard in tie break. After all Andrea and Lucie won this set. And in the third set it was fight for every ball on Parisian clay.

The players kept their services and the key to victory was probably the fifth game. In this game Czechs were losing 0:40 during their service, but fortunately they won. On the other hand in 5:4 they got two opportunity of winning of opponents’ service and the second one Czechs utilized. “It was really hard. Sometimes there is a match, when you´re not so good in, so you can win just by hard work and fighting spirit. And this one work at this time. We work hard and thanks it we got into semifinals,” Andrea Hlavackova smiled.

In the semifinals match Andrea and Lucie will play against 4th seeded pair of French Open, Russians Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina. “They are totally different opponents. We trust that the game should be easier for us. Let´s do it. Please keep your fingers crossed for us,” Andrea said determinedly.
