Andrea lost narrowly against Jovanovski

It was great match, unfortunately with no happy ending for Andrea Hlavackova in the second round of Aegon Classic tournament in Birmingham. Andrea lost against the thirteenth seeded Serbian Bojana Jovanovski in 1 hour and 57 minutes 4:6, 6:1, 6:4.

“That´s often happened on the grass that the matches are very close and it is decided about winner just by small things. I think I show a great performance except of the beginning of the second set when I gave a lot of opportunities to my opponent. In the third set I put more aggression into my playing style and I had a lot of chance to make a better score, but I didn´t take advantage of some my break balls and vice versa in score 4:4 my opponent took my service thanks of some successful returns. Then I didn´t have any chance to change it,” Andrea Hlavackova said.

Andrea cannot repeat last year´s participation in round of sixteen in Birmingham, but still she will move to Hertogenbosche in the Netherlands with a positive mood. “Trainings before the upcoming Wimbledon are continuing. On Thursday I´ll move to Hertogenbosche, where I´ll play qualification on Saturday. So please keep yours fingers cross for me. I´ve never played at this tournament, so I´m excited and wonder if the courts are in better condition than in Birmingham,” she added. Andrea will play also doubles in the Netherlands. She will play in pair with Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova.
