Andrea is brilliant in doubles in Wimbledon

Andrea finished in the first round of single in this year´s Wimbledon, when she was eliminated by the euphoric Russian Elena Vesnina. But in the doubles she plays very well with Lucie Hradecka. The second seeded pair is between 16 bests after two excellent victories.

“Unfortunately I wasn´t lucky during drawing. Vesnina was in really good condition after winning the tournament in Eastbourne and it was hard to play against her from the first ball. Nevertheless I had some chance during the second set but I wasn´t so lucky to get the game into third set. There is just one way: hang on and hard work and hopefully it´ll come,” Andrea said after defeat 2:6, 5:7.

In doubles H+H had  from the first match hard opponents. Pair Alla Kudryaytseva (RUS) and Anastasia Rodionova (AUS) belongs between the least popular pair and also the match in Wimbledon was quite nervous. “The opponents could think about the quarterfinal, but we managed game better,” Andrea said. Czech pair was very happy from this victory 7:5, 6:2.

On Friday evening H+H was on the court just record-breaking 35 minutes when easily won against pair Jana Čepelová (SVK) and Oksana Kalashnikova (GEO) 6:1, 6:1. “After all day waiting in the rain we managed great according to our conception. It was gloomy, but in the evening the courts are faster and this fits to us. The opponents didn´t have any chance,” Andrea smiled.
