Andrea enjoyed the tournament, unfortunately without title

Andrea´s best result in singles on the WTA tour has just happened in Nürnberger Gastein Ladies 2013 tournament. In the finals on clay court in Bad Gastein Andrea lost with an experienced player Yvonne Meusburger from Austria 5:7, 2:6, but she was still very satisfied.

Andrea resisted her opponent, who was also in the finals in Budapest week ago, until the score 2:2 in the second set. Then the 86th player of the world had started to control the match. “I had some chance in the first set, but Yvonne had better end of the match. Also then it was obvious that I had very tough semifinals on Saturday. I felt fatigue in my legs and that´s not way how to win against Meusburger,” Andrea, who got again into the best 100 players of the WTA ranking.

Andrea really enjoyed the tournament in Bad Gastein. She won twice there in doubles. “There is a very nice surroundings. I couldn´t choose another place where to stay in a main competition til the end,” Andrea was joking. But now she is moving to the next tournament in Baku: “It is hard moving and also it´s tough switching a surface. We will play on concrete. In addition on Wednesday I have to play against unpleasant South African Scheepers. The draw could be certainly better, but after my last result I feel a huge motivation to succeed again.”
