Andrea will not be in the main competition at the US Open

After two victories at the beginning of the qualification of the US Open Andrea Hlavackova was defeated in decisive match by the nineteen years old American Grace Min 6:4, 6:1. So Andrea Hlavackova will not be in the main competition, in which she was in the round of 16 last year.

Currently 150th player in the world was more emphatic and did lass mistakes. “I´m really sorry that qualification wasn´t successful for me. First and second match I played in a great form in New York. Unfortunately I slept terribly wrong after the valuable victory against former player of TOP 30, Paszek. The match was played late into the night. It was very hard match and then I slept little and against Min I didn´t have an energy,” Andrea said sadly.

Even the draw, which can take “lucky losers” to the main competition, didn´t help her. “At least I made some points, but it will be big loss after last year. I cannot think about it. I want to be concentrate for 100% for doubles and mix competition,” Andrea added.
