Finals after the Williams sisters!

It was not the end of Friday amazing evening for Andrea Hlavackova after the title in the mix doubles. Few hours later she entered to the court with Lucie Hradecka. They played semifinals of doubles against the Williams sisters and it was the first time when they succeed and defeated them! On Saturday Czechs will play against 8th seeded pair Asleigh Barty and Cassey Dellacqua from Australia.

“I thought that Wednesday, when I got to the finals of the mix doubles and semifinals of the doubles, was the maximum, but this is absolute ceiling,” Andrea crowed with delight after victory 6:4, 6:2 and added: “After all duties after the victory in the mix I rested a little. Serena soon decided after her match in singles that she wants to start to play doubles at 7 PM. So me and Lucie start out to central court with good mood. We did not know how to win against them but we knew if we want to win we have to play our best.”

You could wee a great match, in which were sensationally Czechs better. “Lucie lost her service twice in the first set, but it happened because the central court is very huge, there was dark so we could expect it. On the other hand she played very well from the back and good managed returns, even though we had to turn in during the score 0:40,” Andrea laughed.

The winning of the first set hypes H+H up a lot. “The second set was then very easy. We played better and better. Even their top performance didn´t help when we led 4:1 and opponents managed incredible balls. Although they had a break ball we didn´t give them anything for free. We worked up to the last moment and then we enjoyed a great feeling. It is a big motivation for the finals,” she added.

In the match for the second common Grand Slam title with Lucie will play against Asleigh Barty and Cassey Dellacqua. Australians were unsuccessful in the finals of the Australian Open and Wimbledon, where they defeated H+H in the quarterfinals. On the other side the second match in the FED Cup won Czechs. “We will do everything for the victory,” Andrea said.
