H+H lost in the finals, Andrea is changing her programme

Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka got to the finals at the WTA tournament in Quebec. They were defeated by pair Alla Kudryavtseva (RUS), Anastasia Rodionova (AUS). They lost in the match of two highest seeded pair 4:6, 3:6.

The Olympic silver medalists from London managed the semifinals match. They defeated Irina Falconi (USA) and Anna Tatishvili (GEO) in a tough match 3:6, 6:4, 10:7. H+H again tried in the finals match how tricky are the “no-ad” matches-without advantages.

In the first set Russian-Australian pair got into deuce during the score 5:4 when the Czechs served, but then only one lost ball decided that the winners of the last US Open lost all first set. The same situation was at the beginning of the second set. Andrea and Lucie were trying to manage it but the opponents did not ease up in super tie-break.

“I’m glad that we got to the finals in Quebec, because we were tired after the US Open. You could see that in the finals. The opponents were luckier because of no-ad points in the first set and then our mood was worst and worst,” Andrea Hlavackova said.

It was originally planned that she will play also at ITF tournament with subsidy of $ 75,000 in Albuquerque. “After a long speech with my team I’ve decided not to go to New Mexico for a next week tournament and rather rest more. I’ll spend a few days in Florida and then I’ll train for two weeks at home for better mood and energy for last month of tournaments in Europe,” she said.
