I am Ready – Andrea has Announced

She did not skimp anything. Contrarily she had a big motivation for training for next season 2014 after last curious season. “I feel very good and ready,” Andrea announced before the beginning of the new season.

While people in the Czech Republic will unwrap the Christmas presents, the Czech number one i doubles will travel to the other side of the world, to the ASB Classic tournament in Auckland, New Zealand. “I´m very glad that I was lucky and got a wild card into the main competition in singles. Lucie Safarova will be there also, so we can start our season in doubles,” she said.

Moving to Australia and qualification in singles in Melbourne is following that. After Melbourne Andrea will go to PTT Pattaya Open tournament in Thailand. “I enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Costa Rica and now also a week at home, but I´m really looking forward also to the beginning of the next season. It´s my favourite time of the year, so there is no reason for pessimism. In addition I feel really well prepared,” she said.

Andrea spent most last weeks of the year in Florida. “It was a tough job, but fortunately Roman Cech, my fitness coach, came to support me. We were working hard for three weeks in three-phase conditioning training. Dana, his wife known more with her first surname Hadacova as a representative in table tennis, spent a part of our stay in Florida with us. I enjoyed our common fitness training and we helped each other to become better,” Andrea added.

Andrea had also game phase of training under the guidance of her personal coach Tomas Petera. “We were solving more technical things which are not possible to change during the season. And I must admit that I have a very good feeling out of all. The whole time I also focused on testing new tennis rackets and stringing. I still keep the result only for myself, but I think you will be surprised,” Andrea indicated.

During Christmas period at home she had trainings mainly in Plzen. “I debugged my form and played a lot of training sets and matches. I was so glad that at least for the moment I enjoyed time with my family,” Andrea Hlavackova said and added: “I wish to all my fans a wonderful Christmas and of course happy New Year 2014.”
