Andrea season will start unconventionally in China

Andrea´s first tournament of the new season will be Shenzhen Gemale Open in China. The newly formed tournament with $ 500,000 subsidy will begin on the New Years Eve. “We will set out to Shenzhen two days after Christmas day,” Tomas Petera, Andrea´s personal coach, said.

There is great interest about tennis in China. ”There could be more tournaments in China, but of course the WTA wants to split evenly to all continents,” Tomas Petera added. Andrea will go to Australia directly from Asia, where she will participate in Apia International Sydney tournament from the 6th January. And then first Grand Slam Australia Open on the 14th January in Melbourne.
